When my dad used to take us to school, he would always read al fatiha, al ahad, al falak and an-naas, and read dua and ayatul qursi in a beautiful voice, everyday in the car. it was very good, and encouraged me to want to do the same. Also veyr relaxing.

Most time Mu3aweezat (Al-Nas, Al-Falaq) are used to protect someone from evil such as eye (3ayn).
