PALESTINE Teach-in and Rally. Friday 15th May
PALESTINE TEACH- IN AND RALLY FRIDAY 15TH MAY
On Friday 15th May (this Friday) there are going to be two significant events commemorating the Nakba (the catastrophe) . The Nakba is the day Palestinians commemorate the mass deportation of around a million Palestinians from their cities and villages, the massacres of civilians,
and the razing to the ground of hundreds of Palestinian villages.
This is not just a historical question. Israel's bloody assault on Gaza in January of this year highlighted the extent to which Palestinians
continue to be subjected to the most inhumane treatment. Israel's assault killed over a thousand people and again Palestinians saw their
homes turned to rubble. Such brutality has been sanctioned by the US and the Australian governments.
Everyone who supports Palestinian rights should come to the following two events:
3:30pm: Students for Palestine TEACH IN ON PALESTINIAN POLITICS AND HISTORY
RMIT: Building 10, Level 8, Room 4
Featuring Palestinian academics and Riyad al Adassi: Nurse from Gaza who was an eyewitness of Israel's 2009 assault on the city.
5:30pm: RALLY AND MARCH TO COMMEMORATE AL- NAKBA and DEMAND JUSTICE FOR PALESTINE
State Library, Swanston St
Organized by: The Palestinian Solidarity Campaign www.palestinesolidaritycampaign.net
Please come and show your support.

Re: PALESTINE Teach-in and Rally. Friday 15th May
I was the one that deleted the posts and this was b/c they broke the forum rules. As our beloved 'alayhi salaatu wa salaam told us when it came to speaking on an issue or in general - either speak GOOD or keep silent.
Also, if anyone has any concerns like the above, then please feel free to PM any of the moderators or start a thread in the 'suggestions' section and one of the moderators will get back to you, insha Allaah.
Thanks.
