*Pinched this lovely news from the RMITIS forum ...*

Ma shaa Allaah. This is really fantastic news and what a better time for the news to come than now SmileSmileSmile wal-Hamdulillaah.

Taqabal'Allahu minnaa jami3an. Ameen. READ BELOW!

-------------------

Assalamau Allykum Wa Rahmat Allah Wa Baraktahu,
Dear All,

We would like to thank you for your continuous support in assisting the RMIT Islamic Society during our campaign to have the Muslim prayer rooms returned across all the RMIT Campuses. The Islamic Society has appreciated your support for the reinstatement of dedicated Muslim prayer rooms for students and staff.

We wish to inform that we have negotiated an outcome with RMIT that is in the best interest of both the University and the Muslim students and staff. Although not ideal, our campaign against RMIT to “Right the Wrong and return the Muslim prayer rooms” has achieved its purpose and our protest has come to an end.

Muslim students and staff are able to access the Musalah between 9AM - 8PM each weekday, however after 6PM, an access card is required.

Remember do not take for granted what we have; it was only 2 years ago the Muslim Prayer Rooms in building 9 were taken away. At anytime the same problem may occur, however the Islamic Society is determined by the will of Allah SWT to ensure this problem never happens again, and if the need arises to, “Right the Wrong and Return the Prayer Rooms” in the future we will always stand up for our right.

May Allah SWT reward you all and accept from us ameen.

Kind Regards,
The RMIT Islamic Society Team
Yasmin
